Triple washed luxurious sheets, heirloom Italian cotton quilts, washed antique linen pillow cases.... Did someone say 'naptime'? Mommie's latest obsession has been making the bed all nice with tons of pillows and mixed textures. Here i am enjoying a nap moments after she made the bed, sleepy eyes and all. The bed is worthy of a showroom, especially with me in the photo. Life's rough.

tenoversix: raccoon or frenchie?

what a bandit. i tend to only post pictures of myself but this frenchie is worth showcasing. mommie likes to shop and appreciates design. this frenchie came with the tenoversix newsletter, one of her favorite shops in LA. i wonder if they sell ties. it seems to be the dog fashion trend of the year. see below with me in my bowtie.

mommie and daddie and me got married last month in Palm Springs at the Parker. Here's some photos of me on my big day.

cold shoulder

I stared off longingly towards the front gate in hopes of mommie and daddie returning from their vacation in Paris. Here I am looking so chic and androgynous in my leopard foulard.

They left me behind as always and i am miffed. Being at Camp David with uncle david and aunt jen is a real treat though. They pamper me to the bitter end. In this case, the bitter end is when mommie and daddie come to end my days in paradise.

i have to remember to give mommie and daddie the cold shoulder when they come to get me. Turning my head away from them and not making eye contact is one tactic of mine. The other is to just completely look away from them every time they call for me and act as if no one has said my name. They need to know who is boss.

conspicuous consumption

mommie told me there was nothing but french bulldogs and design motifs all around paris. T-shirts at le comptoir des cotoniers, cafes decorated after them, boxes of truffles at La Duree, antique paperweights from the streamline era, etc, etc. We were everywhere.

le bouldogue cafe a paris

bonjour mes amis!! Here is an adorable little cafe in Paris in the 3eme that has the best theme and branding i have ever seen. It is right near the Pompidou center on Rue Des Francs Bourgeois.

I guess they have 3 fawn frenchies there. Mommie was following them and they led her to this cafe. The thick rope leash they are on really got tangled up. I am still staying at camp david in hollywood. My private helicopter will come get me and take me home to my palace very soon.

chomp chomp

whenever mommie or daddie are working from home, i do all i can to distract and entertain them. Here i am wrapped in a cashmere scarf and eating a piece of grass i found. I'm good at foraging.

eyes wide shut

i made it through the holidays, just barely. I had to take a snooze. it's been a rough couple a weeks. two days before xmas, i had to have an eye ulcer removed. I had never had anesthesia before and really didn't know where mommie and daddie were taking me that morning. i guess i had gotten a scratch on my eye and it never healed. Anyways, while they were putting me under they also decided to pull a couple teeth as well as discover an ear infection. what a mess i was. It's as if they never took me to the vet before.

mommie was so nervous about having me put under. There can be complications with anesthesia among us pushed in faced dogs (Bracycephalic). My vet, Dr Honhe, at east valley medical, assured mommie that he had done many pugs and frenchies sucessfully. The trick is a lighter dosage of anesthesia as well as making sure the breathing tube is kept in until i fully come to after the procedure. Not all vets know this. No wonder i never got my teeth cleaned till now.

I would say "phew" but i can't talk and i am missing two front teeth.

gigi-gucci!

it's happened. I have become so mainstream that the House of Gucci is making french bulldog keychains using their famous monogram fabric. They run about $150 dollars and are part of a series of other dog keychains, but who cares about them!

Maybe i will get one for christmas for my new dog house.

pocket the red nosed frenchie!

happy holidays from me and my pal pocket. he's been busy practicing to lead santa's sleigh this year. the outfit was a bit snug and his chest is going to get a little chilly but he's willing to do anything to be santa's little helper.

his dad and mom are really fancy. my mom is too busy making caramels to hold a photo shoot of me.

daddy was trying out his new iphone camera. not too shabby. it helps to have a really photogenic subject.

spider pig

Trick or treat! it's the only way mommie can get me to wear these silly costumes. This year i am spider pig... a spin on some simpson's movie or something. the arms were too tight on me and my barrel chest didn't seem to work out too well.

anything for a treat though!
