happy halloween. i'm a zombie prisoner this year.

green goblin

i know this looks like i'm getting ready for halloween, but it's not. i'm actually playing one of my favorite games- The Blanket Game. i have been playing it ever since i was a wee pup. when mommie or daddie covers me, i stand as still as a statue. the cone dish and any kind of doggie clothes have the same effect on me. i don't like to move when my big muscles are restricted or when i can't see well.

loki no jokie

loki is named after the norse god of mischief. he is very appropriately named, but don't let this photo fool you. he's a trickster for sure. i think he just woke up so he looks extremely serious here. just in case anyone was confused, he's a boston terrier, not a frenchie. i have to say, he's an honorary frenchie though because word on the street is he weighs more than me, and i'm big for a frenchie! lot's of times people confuse me for a "fat boston". one quick tell all is the pointy ears. bostons' ears come to sharper points, mine are more rounded like bunny ears.

gold digger

someone's been digging. looks like maya got into some dirt in her backyard. i don't do too much outdoor digging myself, only on the couch or on the bed. i heard she's in town for the month. i can't wait to see her and have "playtime"! mommie's been sick so we haven't been walking. the flu seems to be going around. i do what i can to make her feel better.

en vogue

yes, it is true! we have been very fashionable dogs these days, and sometimes that doesn't fair well for the breed overall, but i must point out our recent siting in american vogue, september 2007. we were shown in a fashion spread of the 1920's shot by steven meisel. mommie's a big fan of his work. i went ahead and highlighted the frenchie since it's kinda hard to see him. he was with the two vamps strolling thru the parisian park. look du jour, bien sur!

i've been working on a logo for my blog. it's coming along. it's so nice to be computer savvy since i have friends around the world. mommie taught me a couple things, but for the most part, i'm self-taught.

i can keep in touch with all my pals with a click of the mouse. i think i'm gonna write a letter to apple to make a paw-friendly keyboard. sometimes i push too many letters at once.

faux paw

mommie and daddie went to paris last april and stayed in le marais. they left me at home with other mommie, jen for two whole weeks. it was heaven. jen gives me non-stop attention. we had such a good time. even when she's not watching me, she calls and leaves me long messages on the answering machine. i guess mommie thought taking a photo of a frenchie statue in the window was as good as the real thing. c'est faux!

charles in charge

mommie came home all excited today talking about a new little frenchie she met next door to where's she's working. this little guy is charlemagne aka charles or charlie. he's brindle - just like me! i don't remember ever being so tiny, but we all had to start somewhere. i heard he's only 5 months old. his ears are huge, like donkey ears. i can't wait to meet him and give him a nice chase session.

welcome to los feliz, kiyo! kiyo is a puppie welsh corgi. she's so young her ears aren't standing up yet! that was me a long time ago too. french bulldogs are born with soft floppy ears and then they stand up when they are around 3-4 months old. i can't wait to meet kiyo. her name comes from japanese folklore. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiyo
